The media is doing less to support female talents – Ara Bella

Date:

Rising songstress, Ara Bella has called on the media to promote the songs of female musicians in the country to help them excel in the industry.

According to her, the lack of promotional support from the media has coiled many female musicians back into their shells.

Speaking exclusively on the Max Morning Show in Accra on Friday, Ara Bella stated that her male counterparts were gaining support from the masses through the media, but little was done by the media to project female musicians.

She believed that when female musicians gained similar support, they would be able to lock horns with their male counterparts while their energy level would shoot up to compete evenly with the male musicians.

Addressing why female musicians were not gaining enough support, the “lose You” hitmaker noted that many were of the view that female musicians were not having a promising career and would abandon the industry along the line to marry and have children.

“But this should not be it. We need the support as much as the gentlemen are gaining to break boundaries with our music,” she stated.

Ara Bella has been making waves in the Ghanaian music scene, with her unique sound and style earning her a growing fan base.

She recently released “Lose You” to cement her position as one of the most exciting new female talents in African music.
