Actress Precious Fella Makafui has disclosed that her four-year marriage with rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, known popularly as Medikal, has come to a sad end as they have separated and are waiting to completely get divorced.
She revealed this in a statement released on Saturday, May 18, after her estranged husband publicly declared that she had called the police to arrest him for his outburst.
The actress explained that a few months ago, she and Medikal agreed to end their marriage while they were waiting for their “respective families to complete the required customary divorce rites.”
She observed that her husband was making too many public statements that had put their daughter, her life, and her business in harm’s way, stressing that the statements of Medikal were far from the truth.
In light of this, Fella Makafui has instituted a legal action to ensure the safety of herself and that of her daughter and to also ensure Medikal fulfilled his co-parenting duties as regulated in accordance with the law.
“For my deep respect for our two families, for the relative privacy which the institution of marriage required, and most importantly, in the best interest of our beloved daughter, I have decided to resort to only lawful and appropriate forums to address my grievances,” part of the statement read.
It could be recalled that Medikal, in a series of Snapchat posts, accused Fella Makafui of physically assaulting him by hitting his head with a coffee cup sometime ago in his residence at East Legon.
“I was with my friends playing video games when she threw the tea I was drinking on me, slammed my head with the coffee cup, and destroyed my play station and my television. She also destroyed my laptop used for recording in my studio. She further hit my head with a hanger several times,” he said.
The rapper also claimed that her baby mama called police on him for demanding her cousin vacate his residence.
