CAF CL: Ghana’s Daniel Laryea to officiate Etoile du Sahel – Al Hilal clash

Date:

Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea has been appointment to officiate the 2023/24 CAF Champions League match between Etoile du Sahel and Al Hilal at the Olympique Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades on Friday.

Laryea will serve as an official for the first time in the CAF Champions League Money Zone this season.

With two straight losses in the group stage, Etoile du Sahel is in for a difficult position and are looking forward to getting back on track after losing 2-0 at home to Espérance Sportive de Tunis and 2-0 against Petro Atletico Luanda.

The Tunisian team is eager to turn things around and hopes to get back to winning ways in order to increase their chances of making it to the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.

On the other hand, Al Hilal Omdurman’s season got off to a mixed start. They showed off their attacking ability against Espérance Sportive de Tunis, winning 3-1, but suffered a tight 1-0 loss to Petro Atletico in their second group match.

The match is expected to be a very difficult encounter and referee Daniel Nii Laryea with the help of other officials will have to endure that the game goes well in a fair and balanced manner.
