BLACK STARS: Father of Raphael Dwamena seeks higher help

Date:

The father of the late Ghanaian footballer, Raphael Dwamena, Mr. Patrick Amoako Sefa, has made an appeal to authorities to help bring his son’s mortal remains back home.

The late KF Egnatia forward collapsed on the field in the 23rd minute while leading his side against and KF Partizani in the Albanian Superliga.

According to the attending doctors, he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kavaja hospital.

“When we heard the news it wasn’t easy the whole family was very sad and crying but by God’s grace we are still holding our faith,” he said in an interview on Monday morning.

“We have spoken to his wife and when we spoke she said there is no Ghana Embassy in Albania so they are making preparations to look for a flight to Turkey before we can bring the body.

“So now it has our turn to help and it will keep long I am appealing to the Ghana Football Association to help the family we wish to bring the body to Ghana and look at how we will all plan. What I will say is that Ghanaians should pray for us,” he added.
