MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Grammy should not be the yardstick – Adwoa Saah Boateng

Date:

Adwoa Saah Boateng, a former beauty queen and media personality, has stated that for Ghanaian musicians to succeed internationally, cooperation and support are essential.

According to her, Ghana’s creative sector and the arts have a lot of promise, and artists ought to sincerely help one another on their paths to success.

Adwoa Saah Boateng stressed that success shouldn’t be determined only by accolades like the Grammys.

She urged musicians to put in the necessary work to grab the attention of the global market, stressing that success is achievable through teamwork and concentrated efforts, and to concentrate on producing timeless, high-quality music that can withstand the test of time, regardless of formal recognition.

“Congratulations to Stonebwoy for the effort of being considered a Grammy nominee. I pray that we can all come together to work and put in the effort to secure nominations in the future. I’ve realized that Nigerians walk the talk in reality, making them gain recognition. We can find those loopholes and work toward them to build our reputation on the international awards stage.
Personally, Grammys should not be the sole standard of success; the yardstick should be creating quality and timeless music. Papa Yankson and Daddy Lumba have catalogs of timeless songs, and whether or not they win a Grammy, the song continues to resonate,” she said on UTV.
