The Legon Cities team bus was reportedly ambushed by armed robbers on Wednesday night at Kwanfifi, close to the Bibiani-Kumasi route.
The attack reportedly occurred during the cities’ return from their 3-0 loss to FC Samartex in Samraboi in the Western Region.
Nicholas Mensah, in an ‘X’ post, confirmed the attack, revealing there were no casualties as the offenders made away with valuables belonging to the team.
“There are no casualties, but they took everything from us,” he posted on ‘X’.
