Over the weekend, the Accra International Conference Centre [AICC] hosted the Accra rendition of the legendary Ghanaian gospel music duo Tagoe Sisters as they staged their 40th anniversary.
The concert was a celebration of the iconic Ghanaian gospel duo’s 40th anniversary in the music industry.
The conference center was filled to the gills with fans in anticipation of witnessing the Tagoe Sisters perform their greatest songs.
The concert kicked off with a stirring rendition of their classic song, which was met with thunderous applause from the audience.
They then took the audience on a musical journey through their four-decade career, performing songs like “Etu be twa”, “Yedi Nkunim,” and “Orekyekye.”
They also performed some of their new songs, which were warmly received by the fans. The Tagoe Sisters were joined on stage by a number of guest performers, including Ceccy Twum and Ophelia Nyantakyi.
The audience also enjoyed performances from renowned musicians who contributed to the concert’s atmosphere, including the likes of Pat Thomas, Empress Gifty, Kwabena Kwabena, Akwaboah, Kuami Eugene, Perez Musik, Lola and Lali, etc.
The concert ended with a standing ovation from the audience, who were grateful to the Tagoe Sisters for a memorable night of music and celebration.
The renowned gospel music duo expressed their gratitude to their fans for their support over the years with great joy and made a commitment to keep on recording music for a very long time.
