MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Adane Best on why Nigeria music Industry is ahead of Ghana

Date:

Ace Ga-Adangbe musician Adane Best has expressed concern about how Ghanaians fail to acknowledge veteran musicians for their contributions to the growth of the industry.

According to him, this has made the Nigerian music industry excel more than the local industry.

Adane Best said this in a current interview with the media when he spoke about the sidelines of Ghana’s music industry.

He noted that Nigerians were far advanced since the musicians and the creative arts stakeholders cherish their veteran musicians, unlike Ghana, where the industry easily forgets musicians once they bow out.

“The reason Nigerians are always ahead of us is because they cherish and acknowledge their veteran musicians. 2Face Idibia and P-Square are highly respected by their fellow musicians and the entire country,” Adane Best said.

He noted that Ghana’s industry was all about the musician with the reigning song and not about those whose contributions have set a pace for the current generation.

“Here in Ghana, it’s about who has the biggest song at the moment, and no one regards you if you don’t have that trending song. They easily forget the contribution you have made with your songs in the  past. Adane Best best.

Known privately as Joseph Amoah, he has been in the industry for the past three decades.

His notable songs include Wo Bre Na Wenya, Sisi, Ayitey, and Mafio.
