Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has expressed concern about how Delta airlines authorities have disregarded safety rules to transport Africans with faulty and weak flights.
He said the poor service the Airlines rendered, risked the lives of many passengers as the plane they boarded had an emergency landing on an island in Portugal on Saturday, September 9, making him to miss his important show gig in Detroit.
Narrating his ordeal in a Facebook post after the incident yesterday, Sarkodie noted that it was not the first time the airline has had an emergency landing.
“Sat at the airport for about 6 hours and from complains from passengers, this isn’t new with that airline especially from this part of the world (Africa) they keep sending these weak old flights (business class almost same as economy) to pick us up knowing very well they are not safe but still risk lives,” he lamented.
The “Non Living Thing” hitmaker expressed displeasure on how the workers of Delta Airlines poorly communicated to them and did not even have the courtesy to let them aware of what was happening when the plane almost landed on the ocean.
“But thank God we touched that island safe. No compensation nothing and our bags still on the island,” he bemoaned.
Sarkodie said his post was not to tarnish Delta Airlines business but “hopefully they see to this problem and resolve it.”
He also apologised to his fans in Detroit for his inability to attend the show, adding that his management was working around clock for him to make it up to them.
