Nigerian comedian: Christian Atsu paid my university fees when my dad died

Christian Atsu, a football player from Ghana, was tragically killed in the recent earthquake that rocked western Syria, southern and central Turkey, and is mourned by many.

Although Christian Atsu was well-known for his prowess on the football field, an unseen tale of how he assisted a Nigerian comedian named Dr. Craze in paying for his university studies has come to light.

In 2015, after his father passed away, Christian Atsu contacted him and offered to pay for his tuition until he graduated, which he did, according to a tweet from Dr. Craze.

The comedian also voiced his sorrow at Atsu’s demise and his appreciation for the footballer’s friendship and support.

“Christian has been supporting me from way back in 2015. When I lost my dad, he l reached out and offered to pay my fees till I graduated and he did you’ve been a great friend of mine Chris and I will surely miss you. I really can’t hold back the tears. Rest well brother,” he disclosed.

Atsu was well known for being a giving and compassionate person who was devoted to helping those in need. In Ghana, where he assisted in providing support for convicts, Atsu was well recognized for his charitable efforts in addition to his support of Dr. Craze.
