On February 10 2023 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, the Northern Ladies came from behind to defeat the league’s top team and champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
Elizabeth Owusu gave the visitors the early advantage in the game’s first minute. Through Ophelia Amponsah, Apem Darkoa extended their advantage after 12 minutes.
After the break, Seidu Faiza of the Northern Ladies cut the lead in half in the 55th minute. Mohammed Wasima scored for Northern Ladies on the 62nd minute to equalize the score.
By scoring her second in extra time to capture all three points for her team, Seidu Faiza completed the comeback and helped her team earn back-to-back victories.
Northern Ladies climb into the top four of the League Log with the victory.
