Ghana defender, Jonathan Mensah has been ruled out of the Black Stars FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa due to injury.
The Columbus Crew captain, who has started Ghana’s last two games, suffered an injury last week in training causing him to miss out on his side’s 2-0 win over Chicago Fire on Sunday.
He is the latest injury casualty in the Black Stars side, after Thomas Partey and Gideon Mensah also pulled out due to injury.
Twenty four players will travel to South Africa on Tuesday for the World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.
Fifteen players trained in Accra on Monday as the team started preparations for the final two games of Group G in the World Cup qualifiers.
