After their draw against Mozambique in the first round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Senegal travels to Ethiopia aiming for their first victory.

On the eve of this match, Patrick Vieira clearly outlined the Lions’ objectives.

The Senegalese coach wants to leave Bahir Dar with all three points. “It’s important for us to play a good match, create chances, and score goals. Our objective is to take all three points,” he said at a press conference.

Vieira is primarily looking for more clinical finishing. Against Mozambique, the Lions created chances but failed to capitalize on them.

The French coach now wants to see his team make better use of the opportunities they create.

“We will continue to play with more intensity and capitalize on the opportunities we have created,” he explained.
