2025 UNITY CUP : FIFA agent Drew Uyi named ambassador

FIFA-licensed agent Dr Drew Uyi has been appointed Brand Ambassador and member of the Board Marketing Committee for the forthcoming Unity Cup 2025, further cementing his reputation as a global influencer in football and brand strategy.

The announcement underscores Uyi’s enduring impact on the sport, particularly his work in elevating African athletes beyond the pitch to become internationally recognized brands.

The Unity Cup 2025, a four-nation tournament featuring Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, will take place at the Gtech Community Stadium in London on 27, 28, and 31 May 2025.

The tournament is expected to attract 52,000 fans over three days, with a global audience of more than 30 million set to witness a celebration of football, culture, and shared heritage. More than a sporting event, the Unity Cup pays homage to the deep-rooted historical and cultural bonds between African and Caribbean nations, championing unity, diversity, and resilience.

Born in the United Kingdom to Nigerian parents, Uyi has carved out a distinguished career representing some of Africa’s most iconic athletes, helping them to realise their potential as marketable brands. His efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing the global visibility of African talent and fostering pride in African.

Speaking on his appointment, Uyi said he was deeply honoured to be part of a tournament he has long admired.
