Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has attributed Ghana’s shock loss to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier as an unfortunate mistake, though not happy with the pitch.
The Black Stars were stunned at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium by a stoppage time winner from Milson when he capitalized on Abdul Mumin’s inability to clear the ball in the six-yard box.
“I don’t want to plant this loss on the pitch even though it wasn’t good. Against the Central African Republic, it was also not good but we won. We have to do better,” he said.
Otto Addo believes his men have what it takes to do well by being clinical in their subsequent games.
Ghana will head to Morocco for the next match against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
