2024-25 UEL: Lucky Manchester United escape Porto with a draw

Date:

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has assured fans after his team’s close escape at the Estadio Dragao against FC Porto on Thursday night.

Second half substitute Harry Maguire’s late equalizer for the English side may have well kept Erik ten Hag in his job, at least for now.

United were in dream land after Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund scored after twenty minutes into the game, but Pepe pulled one back for the home side.

Samu Omorodion scored the first of his two goals in the 34th minute when he equalized before giving Porto the lead five minutes into the second half.

Manchester United will face their former manager Jose Mourinho and his in-form Fenerbache side next at Old Trafford.
