English giants Arsenal could hand a starting debut to 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter in the third round of the Caraboa Cup on Wednesday.
Mikel Arteta, head coach of the Gunners, may have to rest Spanish goalkeeper David Raya after he limped off during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Sunday, September 22.
Second choice goalkeeper Neto is already cup-tied after playing for Bournemouth in the second round of the competition.
Porter remains in sole position to take over before Raya is fully fit for Sunday’s Premier League game.
The teenager has been a regular for the club’s U-18 and U-21 so far this season and has played four times for England’s U16.
