2022 World Cup prize monies: $42m for Argentina, $9m for Ghana and others

Date:

Argentina’s Albiceleste received a mind-blowing $42 million prize for winning the 2022 World Cup, which was held in Qatar.

According to reports from numerous news organizations, Lionel Messi’s team gave his nation the money mentioned above after defeating France to win the trophy on Sunday.

After Emiliano Martinez’s heroics in the penalty shootout, Argentina won their second trophy in 36 years.

In order to fulfill Lionel Messi’s ambition of winning the World Cup, Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties thanks to Martinez’s stop.

Les Bleus of France, who finished second in the competition, had $12 million less in wealth than Argentina.

Morocco, the first African nation to place fourth in the World Cup, received $25 million, $2 million less than Croatia, who finished third.

All the teams who placed fifth through eighth received $17 million, while the teams that lost in the knockout round received $14 million each.
