The National Chapters Committee (NCC) of the Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak has released a statement in reaction to the aftermath of the Super Clash.
No match between the two biggest eternal rival clubs in Ghana, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, has ever been short of unthinkable drama. Latest to the years-long was on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Tempers flared at the end of yet another tensioned encounter between Hearts and Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium, as fans of the home team (Hearts) registered their displeasure at Referee Reginald Collins Amoah’s questionable calls during the game.
Members of the NCC, in days leading to the first Super Clash of the 2025-26 season, constantly protested against the appointment of Referee Reginald Collins Amoah for the match due to biases shown against Hearts in past games.
However, confidence was retained in Referee Amoah by the Referee Handlers at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), despite calls for him to be changed for the game.
Hearts fans were left aggrieved when Mawuli Wayo’s equalizer was ruled out for offside after Morifing Donzo had given the Porcupine Warriors the lead from the penalty spot.
In an official press release, the NCC stated after their numerous caution to the GFA for the appointment of Referee Amoah fell on deaf ears, they cannot in the future guarantee the safety of the referee in subsequent Hearts games.
