Ghana Women’s National Team head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has announced a 24-player squad for camping ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The list, released by the Ghana Football Association on Monday, June 16, includes only four home-based players: Kerrie McCarthy, Afi Amenyeku, Comfort Yeboah, and Nancy Amoh.
Notably, Josephine Bonsu, Louisa Aniwaa, Chantelle Hlorkah, and Abigail Kofi Kim—all of whom earned their first call-ups under Bjorkegren—retain their spots in the squad.
The Black Queens will camp outside Ghana as part of their final preparations for the continental showpiece, where they have been drawn in a challenging group featuring defending champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.
The 2024 WAFCON kicks off on July 5, with the final slated for July 26
