Patrick Vieira has set his conditions ahead of taking charge of the Senegal Lions, insisting that he be officially appointed before being introduced to the press or the public.

The presentation, which had been scheduled for the past few days, has therefore been postponed.

The FSF had officially announced Vieira’s appointment on August 18, while noting that discussions regarding administrative and contractual details were still ongoing.

The French coach is thus seeking to avoid the difficulties faced by his predecessor, Pape Thiaw, whose contractual situation sparked intense controversy.

The former head coach is still demanding several hundred million CFA francs from the FSF for unpaid salaries and benefits.

Patrick Vieira is therefore waiting for his contract to be definitively signed before officially beginning his tenure with the Lions.
