Renowned Ghanaian actor Mawuli Semevo, celebrated for his outstanding performances on stage and screen, has suffered severe burns in a tragic fire accident.
Reports indicate that the veteran actor sustained burns covering 44% of his body, including respiratory injuries that make breathing difficult.
A distressing update from Judith Addison of Beyond Burns International, a non-profit organization supporting burn survivors, paints a grim picture of Mawuli’s condition. “This is serious. From his head to his legs—everywhere caught fire, and he has lost all his hair,” she stated.
According to reports, the actor was asleep at home when the fire broke out, leaving him in critical condition. Beyond Burns International issued an urgent SOS, calling for immediate assistance. “His life is hanging in the balance,” Judith revealed in a social media update.
Mawuli Semevo has graced both stage and screen with remarkable performances in films such as Harvest at 17, A Stab in the Dark, Escape of Love, Like Cotton Twines, and The Good Old Days: The Love of AA. Fans and colleagues are rallying for support, hoping for his swift recovery.
