Hearts of Oak are in danger of being relegated from the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League after suffering a damaging 2-0 defeat to bitter rivals Asante Kotoko.
Dr. Ogum’s men were still reeling from their disappointing defeat to Berekum Chelsea on matchday 30, going into this all-important tie.
Steven Mukwala seems to enjoy playing against the Phobians this season, as he has already registered four goals in both legs.
The Uganda international’s first world definitely irked an already frustrated Coach Aboubakar Ouattara as he ran through both center-backs to easily slot the ball past Nketiah in post.
Mukwala finished off Hearts in the last minute of the game, despite their every attempt to claw back into it.
He timed his run to perfection when he received an intelligent pass from Somuah just near the half of their opponents, keeping his composure to clinch a deserved win for his side.
This defeat means Hearts of Oak drop to 14th place, two points from relegation.
