Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has promised to deal sternly with anyone involved in illegal mining.
The politician and governance expert, on Monday, January 27, appeared before the Appointment Committee of the Parliament House to be vetted to be the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
Mr. Kofi Buah, representing the good constituents of the Ellembelle constituency in the Western region, has seen at hand how illegal mining activities have destroyed the lands and water bodies in the rural parts of the region.
“We will deal ruthlessly with those involved in illegal mining,” he said before the committee.
Protecting the forest reserves is extremely crucial to the survival of every state. He further assured Ghanaians of no new mining activities under his watch, should he be approved by the committee
