Manchester City’s newest hotshot attacker, Antoine Semenyo, has been touted as Ghana’s best player.
Former Anderlecht and Ghana winger Yaw Preko affirmed Semenyo’s ascendancy to the summit as the country’s best footballer.
Born and bred in the United Kingdom, Semenyo’s rise to the pinnacle of English football has been admired by many.
Failed trials at Arsenal, Tottenham, Millwall, and Crystal Palace nearly forced the 26-year-old to give up on football.
Joining a youth academy programme proved to be a turning point for Semenyo, as the likes of Birmingham City and Bristol City came calling.
Retrospectively, his decision to join Bristol City is the reason he has the highest level of football, playing with confidence and delivering from all angles.
“Currently, he’s Ghana’s best player. For Guardiola to buy you, then it means he sees something good in you. So far he is our poster boy,” said Yaw Preko on Sports Pack.
