Gospel music powerhouse Selina Boateng was the special guest on Max Drive on Wednesday, August 7, 2025, hosted by the ever-energetic Mister Koda (Kofi Ohene Asante).

Speaking with warmth and humility, Selina shared how she began her career as a backing vocalist, gradually working her way to the spotlight. “I started as a backing vocalist,” she said with a smile, reflecting on the early days of her music career.
The conversation also took a personal turn as she addressed public comments about her weight gain. Rather than being discouraged, Selina said the comments have actually pushed her to become better.
“I don’t let it bother me. Instead, it encourages me to do better,” she shared, adding that she’s been consistent with her routine exercise to stay healthy and energised. She also stated that she will not do BBL even if someone sponsors her,” she clearly stated.
On the show she claimed that makeup is beauty enhancement and BBL is satanic but not to be judgemental of humans.
Selina didn’t hold back when it came to offering advice to young, up-and-coming gospel artists. Her message was clear: “Be patient, humble, and most importantly, be God-fearing.” Her words were a powerful reminder of the values that have sustained her career over the years.
