Former Great Olympics and Okwahu United defender Sumaila Iddrisu has passed away. He died on September 9, 2024, following a brief illness.
Due to his Islamic faith, Iddrisu was buried the same day. Family and friends gathered at his father’s residence in Odorkor Official Town to pay their respects.
Iddrisu was a respected member of the famous G-UNIT, a group of retired footballers that includes icons like Asamoah Gyan and Baffour, who were deeply shocked by the news of his passing.
He is survived by three children. Details regarding his 40-day memorial celebration will be announced at a later date.
