R&P Oil give motorists free fuel as they open new petrol station at Lakeside in Accra

Date:

Residents and motorists in the Ashaley-Botwe Lakeside Community in Accra on Thursday, 24th September, burst into a frenzy of excitement as hundreds of vehicle drivers and motor riders rushed to get free fuel from the newly opened R&P filling station.

The announcement by management that the first 200 customers would be served with free fuel spread like wildfire and within minutes of the launch ceremony, vehicles had lined the main road waiting to enter the station.

The official launch of the beautiful facility complete with a soon to be opened mart, service centre, washrooms and shops, attracted residents, local leaders, industry stakeholders and other distinguished functionaries.

Among the array of high profile personalities at the grand opening was the CEO of the Association of Oil Marketing Companies of Ghana (OMCG) Mr Kwaku Agyemang Duah who explained the significance of the new station in the community.

“Apart from serving motorists who ply this route, I am pleased to tell you that the youth in the community would be the biggest beneficiaries because more jobs have been created through this facility”

The CEO of R&P Oil Adam Rajid also expressed his joy at the opening of another service station by his company in line with their gradual expansion plan.

“As we heard the Chairman say, with this new structure, we now have 4,201 service stations across Ghana. Top of our priorities is to provide excellent service to all customers here in the Adenta constituency and from beyond. You can also see that we have employed a lot of young people which is a policy of R&P Oil as our contribution in tackling youth unemployment”.

The biggest cheer of the day was reserved for ex Black Stars defender John Paintsil who came through to promote Covid-19 health and safety education initiated by R&P Oil Company.

Other dignitaries included Nii Akwei I (New Legon Chief)

The Nkosuohene of Ashley Botwe Nii Ashaley and
Togbui Awlavi III
Operations Manager of R&P Oil.

A fire management demonstration was performed by
Roger Debrah from the Ghana National Fire Service with the support of R&P Oil Compliance Manager Mr Abel Yaw Owusu.
