Financial expert who doubles as an author, Obeng Darko says reading religious books does not aid one to have a financial mindset.
According to him, it is vital for religious entities and youth to read financial books to gain requisite knowledge about how they could manage and secure their finances.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday, Darko stated that many youth are making financial mistakes since they lack knowledge about finances.
”In as much as you’re a Christian or Muslim and reading religious books, there’s the need to read financial books to enrich your knowledge on means to manage finances and to make money,” he said.
Darko argued that corruption has become rampant in the country due to failure on Pastors and many religious leaders imbibing financial knowledge in the minds of youth.
He noted that many pastors had made the public believe that making money was spiritual, hence, they turned to brush off any financial knowledge terming it as canal knowledge.
