Veteran Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz is expected to continue as head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana.

A social media post by the coach after Ghana’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup caused a stir in the Ghanaian media.

Even foreign media outlets, including Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, reported on Queiroz’s supposed departure.

However, in an interaction with a Ghanaian fan in the diaspora, the coach rejected reports that he had resigned from his post.

Seasoned Ghanaian journalist Michael Oti Adjei shared on his social media post about Queiroz possibly staying for the next AFCON.
