The newly crowned champions of Ligue 1 Paris St-Germain (PSG), have taken a significant leap against Aston Villa in bid to securing a semi-final berth.
What a debut season Morgan Rogers is having at Aston Villa! The young English star stunned the home fans in Parc des Princes in the 35th minute to give Villa the lead.
The lead, however, lasted for just four minutes when 19-year-old Desire Doue curled from 20 yards out to beat Emiliano Martinez in the Villa goal.
Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia finally gave PSG the lead for the first time in the game four minutes into the second half.
Just as the former PSG boss Unai Emery thought he would return with his current side, Aston Villa, to the Midlands with a one-goal deficit, Nuno Mendes pops up to extend the lead for the French giants.
The Villa players would have to produce the performance of their lives to overturn this deficit and make a historic return to the Champions League semi-final in the 1981—82 season, which they ended up winning the title.
