President John Dramani Mahama has announced the setup of a Children’s Support Fund to safeguard the future of the children of the August 6 helicopter crash victims.
The President stated that the government would provide an initial seed contribution and would put into effect and publish a complete framework for the fund over the next 30 days.
President Mahama expressed gratitude to Stanbic Bank for opening an account with an initial contribution of GH¢500,000.
“My office will ensure that the Children’s Support Fund is sustained for the long term, with annual public reporting on how it has been used,” he said.
