Nana Kwame Danquah, general manager for Access Back Division One team Okwawu United, has demanded disciplinary action against “disrespectful” Nana Oduro Sarfo.
He expressed his utmost disgust at the remarks of Nana Oduro Sarfo, an executive council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) made about his club.
Nana Oduro Sarfo alleged in an interview after the game that Okwawu United were playing for Zone 3 leaders Hohoe United to improve their prospects of reaching the Ghana Premier League.
“It is unfortunate that an ExCo member would make such lose talk, and I expect the FA to act. Okwawu United takes serious except about that statement…Normally when anyone makes such statement the FA drags the person to the Ethics Committee. We expect the FA acts on this serious and damning statement.
Prior to the game, Okwawu United were nine points behind league leaders Hohoe United, but lost grounds to winning the league after a 1-0 defeat to second-placed Port City.
Oduro Sarfo’s comments, according to Nana Kwame Danquah, is a disrespect to the people of Kwahu, implying they are dishonest and would rather opt to cheating.
