The National Youth Authority (NYA), in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Development & Empowerment and Entertainment Week Ghana, has launched the “Red Means Stop” campaign to combat substance abuse among young people, particularly the rising misuse of opioids.

“We hope these influencers will continue to spread the message and encourage their peers to avoid fleeting highs and focus on personal growth,” Opare Addo stated.
The campaign will feature nationwide activations, educational programs, media outreach, and community engagement efforts to promote a drug-free future for Ghana’s youth.
Also present at the launch were the Minister of Youth Development & Empowerment and the CEO of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), emphasizing government and stakeholder commitment to tackling this crisis.
