Arsenal’s recent transfer activities have clearly shown Mikel Arteta is not enthused about getting Black Stars player Thomas Partey to stay at the club.
According to Arsenal News, the Ghanaian international has rejected proposed moves to the biggest clubs in Turkey, Galatasaray and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbache.
The news of an agreement between Arsenal and Martin Zubimendi to join the club this week has provided clarity on the direction Arteta intends to head.
Partey’s time with the North Londoners since 2020 has been plagued with a lot of injuries, at times resulting in him falling in the pecking order.
Now after apparently securing Zubimendi, Arsenal have turned to Brentford for the services of Christian Norgaard to shore up their midfield, especially with the departure of Jorginho to Flamengo, The Mirror reports.
The Dane has been an essential figure at the West London club from 2019 to the present. He may be offered a two-year contract considering his age.
Perhaps Partey must accept he would be of much use to Arteta in the future, hence moving out to a different club.
