Newcastle United has beaten Liverpool FC 1-2 to win their first major trophy after a 70-year hunt.
The two of the popular traditional clubs in world football went toe-to-toe in the final of the 2024-25 Carabao Cup at Wembley on Sunday, March 16.
Liverpool, looking to clinch their first title of the season came up against the least favoured Newcastle in a game that would leave a lasting memory for many.

New England call-up Dan Burn scored the opening goal of the game on the stroke of halftime before Alexander Isak added the second just seven minutes into the second half.
Italian winger Federico Chiesa pulled a goal back deep into stoppage time, but the Magpies held on for a historic win.
