Callum Wilson added to the goals scored by Sean Longstaff, Anthony Gordon, and Jacob Murphy in the first half to help the Magpies move up to fifth place in the Premier League.
Although Newcastle’s intensity was too much for Roy Hodgson’s visitors, who were never in the game, will hope that this is just a small hiccup in what has otherwise been a promising start to the season.
