Julian Nagelsmann is no longer the head coach of Germany after their World Cup elimination at the hands of Paraguay.
The 38-year-old tactician has decided to step down from his role with the Die Mannschaft with immediate effect.
According to several German media outlets, including BILD, the decision was made this Thursday, and an official statement from the German Football Association (DFB) is expected in the coming hours.
The former Hoffenheim coach was appointed as Germany’s head coach in September 2023 and was tasked with revitalising a squad that had lost its momentum.
Despite a promising build-up to the tournament, Germany fell short of expectations, leading to the young manager’s departure.
