Ghana Premier League side, Bofoakwa Tano have secured their berth in the MTN FA Cup finals with a hard-earned 2-1 victory over Dreams FC at the Sogakope Park on Sunday.
In a clash that pitted the Bono Region representatives against the reigning champions, fans were treated to a spectacle of football prowess in the second semi-final showdown of the domestic cup competition.
The stage was set at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, where both Bofoakwa Tano and Dreams FC showcased their mettle, delivering a thrilling contest that saw the net bulge twice.
Bofoakwa Tano seized the initiative in the 47th minute, leveling the scoreline before surging ahead to take the lead. However, Dreams FC proved their resilience, responding with a strike from Emmanuel Agyei in the 60th minute to draw level.
As the clock ticked towards the end of regular time, neither side could break the deadlock, setting the stage for extra time heroics. It was Bright Boakye Kyereh who etched his name into the annals of the match, delivering the decisive blow that sealed Bofoakwa Tano’s 2-1 triumph and booked their ticket to the final showdown.
