#MaxEntertainment: Lil Win speaks after fatal accident

Date:

Kumawood actor turned producer, Kojo Nkansah, known popularly as LilWin, has expressed gratitude to God after being involved in a fatal accident on Saturday, May 25, in Amokom, a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis, a few hours prior to his movie premiere.

According to him, it took the intervention of God to avert such a fatal occurrence.

Lilwin said since God has preserved his life, he knew God had better plans for him ahead and thanked fans and all well-wishers who offered a word of prayer on his behalf.

“I thank the Lord for what he has done for me. What the Lord has done for me goes beyond human understanding. I know that once I am still alive, my time to die is not yet up. I thank you all for making it here, and may God bless you all,” he said.

Lilwin’s Benz car collided with another vehicle while he was on his way to a funeral on the said day when the accident occurred.

Social media videos captured the aftermath, showing onlookers assisting him from his branded Mercedes Benz and transferring him into another vehicle.

The front bumper of his Mercedes-Benz was severely damaged.

Despite the ordeal, Lilwin showed up at the premiere of his movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” as he said he could not ignore the efforts of the individuals, including local chiefs and other personalities who made it to the event.

Multiple videos from the movie premiere captured the actor being ushered into the venue at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with a plaster on his forehead, suggesting the severity of the injury he suffered from the accident.

Reports indicated that he had undergone surgery after the accident and was deemed well enough to attend the ceremony.
