MAX HEALTH: NHIS to cover Mental Health

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, has revealed that treatment for mental health is set to be added to the benefits of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), according to graphic online.

This revelation was made at the maiden awards night and commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the general and scientific meeting of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

According to the first gentleman of the land, to improve access, the NHIA has introduced the USSD code *929# to aid in the renewal of subscriptions.
