Gonçalo Inacio of Sporting CP has been added to Manchester United’s shortlist as the Premier League team continues its quest for a new defender in January.
United has prioritized the center of defense and is sending scouts to Portugal to check out the 22-year-old.
Lisandro Martnez has been out from the team for a while, and Harry Maguire hasn’t completely won over manager Erik ten Hag since a possible transfer to West Ham fell through in the summer.
Inacio is the newest candidate that Manchester United is reportedly considering, along with moves for Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, Benfica’s António Silva, and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba.
