MAX ENTERTAINMENT: You don’t need hit tracks to be relevant in the industry – Ambolley

Date:

Veteran musician, Gyedu Blay Ambolley says musicians do not need hit tracks to make a name for themselves in the industry.

According to him, the only way to stay relevant in the industry was to produce evergreen music.

Ambolley in an interview indicated that if a musician has to make a mark then much attention should be devoted to the kind of music they make.

“I don’t subscribe to the idea that a musician has to constantly release hits upon hits to make a mark. In fact, if you ever dream of making a name for yourself in this industry, go harder, make timeless music,” he said.

Ambolley noted hit tracks lose their significance as time passes by, however, when the song was evergreen artiste could even not be singing, yet his songs would leave a mark forever.

“Focus on the quality of your music and the issues you want to tackle so that your audience can best relate with your craft even when you go silent for a while,” he added.
