With two goals in the second half, Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the bragging rights over city rivals Everton who finished the game with ten men in this afternoon’s Merseyside derby.

After a difficult 75 minutes for the home team were put to an end by Salah’s assured penalty in front of the Kop End after Michael Keane’s handball, and he added a late second as the Reds climbed to the top of the table on Saturday afternoon.

The home side managed to find the lead after 75 minutes through Mohammed Salah’s penalty after Everton’s Michael Keane handled the ball in the penalty box.

The Egyptian scored his second late in the 97th minute to put the game to bed to send the Reds top of the table.

It brought the Egyptian international’s total for league goals scored to 201, and the win continued Liverpool’s current domination over their neighbors in this matchup.
