Legon Cities end losing streak, as Nations stun Kpando

Date:

Hearts of Oak drew blank with FC Samartex away in Nsenkyire on Sunday, January 2025.

The defending champions, Samartex, who have struggled since the commencement of the 2024-25 season, were determined to capitalize on their last win when the Phobians came to town.

Aboubakar Ouattara’s men, instead, managed to avoid defeat as they failed to convert their chances, slipping further away from the top spot.

Heart of Lions suffered their second consecutive defeat, as Nations overtook them to claim second spot.

Bi Boris Djangone stunned patrons at the Kpando Sports Stadium with a late goal in the 82nd minute to move Nations FC a point behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars, who recorded an emphatic 0-3 away win over Accra Lions.

Legon Cities ended a four-game losing streak against Dreams FC with a morale-boosting 3-0 win.
