Dani Olmo, an attacking midfielder for RB Leipzig, is reportedly close to moving to Barcelona during the summer transfer window, according to Sport Bild.
After playing for them during his youth career, Barcelona is Olmo’s ideal destination, therefore Leipzig would welcome an offer between €60m and €65m, however Barca’s financial condition would need to be resolved first.
Olmo, his father Miquel, and agent Andy Bara have spoken with Barca frequently about a potential return, and during the 2022 World Cup, there were rumors of a covert meeting in Qatar.
After those discussions, the Spain international unexpectedly extended his Leipzig contract—although a new provision was added.
