Asante Kotoko, on matchday two of the 2026/27 season of the Ghana Premier League (GPL), beat Heart of Lions by two goals to one.

This is Kotoko’s first victory over the Kpando-based club since 2015, as they are yet to taste defeat so far.

Francis Odoom halved the deficit in the second-half stoppage time from the penalty spot. It proved a little too late as Kotoko secured their first win of the season.
