The rising Afrobeats star KiDi celebrates over how his latest single, “Lomo lomo,” has instantly become a global hit.
Though the attention the song has garnered did not come as a surprise to him, he believes the creativity in the song is selling it.
Speaking in a recent media interview, KiDi stated that the track, which featured Black Sherif, has taken the music scene by storm due to the creative minds that came together to produce the infectious tune.
“That is music for you. Music has no time span; sometimes you release a song and it will hit in a day, and sometimes it will take three months and sometimes a year. So I am super grateful; we had no idea how long it was going to take, but it’s here, and we are grateful,” he added.
KiDi shared his excitement about the success of the song and was grateful that people caught the vibe to cruise with the song.
“It’s a blessing. This is why we make music—for people to be happy, for people to catch their vibe, hear the song, and love it, so I’m grateful. Shout out to everybody, to my brother Black Sheriff; we have a hit, we have a global hit, and we have a national hit, and I am grateful for that,” he said.
KiDi is known for pushing boundaries in the Afrobeats genre, and music lovers could expect more innovative sounds from him.
His song “Lomo, Lomo” topped several music charts across Africa, gaining significant streaming numbers on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
