Former Black Stars captain John Mensah has charged the current team to replicate their form in the upcoming qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mensah was at the Parliament House along with other retired Ghanaian footballers for a press conference hosted by the Speaker of the August House, Rt Hon. Alban Sumana Bagbin.
The former defender, who has been capped 86 times for the four-time African champions, believes the Black Stars can reach the global showpiece should they play like they did in the last round of qualifying matches.
“If they can continue like the way they played, I think they can qualify. The guys are doing well now. All we need to do is to keep on supporting them,” he said to Max TV at the Parliament House.
Ghana will travel to face Chad on September 4 before returning to Accra to host the Malians on September 9.
