Black Queens head coach Nora Häuptle has assured her side will surprise Nadeshiko Japan in their upcoming international friendly encounter in Kanazawa, Japan.
The Japanese are preparing for the Paris Olympics and are placed in Group C alongside Nigeria, Brazil, and Spain.
Haptle has promised her Queens will provide a good test for Japan as they aspire to rise as the number one ranked team in Africa again.
“The opposition they provide is exactly what we want so as to improve in different areas, such as ball possession. We also need to be smart in defense because Japan is very excellent on the ball in good transition moments, and they observe their opponents very well.”
“We will present a smart game plan by trying to surprise our opponents a little bit, and we are really going to see how we end tomorrow’s game,” she added.
The game will kick off at 6:24 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, and be televised live on the Ghana Football App.
